Certified Compressor Replacement Across Toronto and the GTA
The compressor is the most expensive single part in a refrigeration system, so the first step is to confirm it has actually failed. A failed start relay, a bad capacitor or a low refrigerant charge can produce the same symptoms. Our technicians test the electrical circuit, the system pressures and the motor windings before condemning a compressor. If replacement is needed, they recover the refrigerant, install an OEM-matched compressor, evacuate the system and recharge it to the manufacturer’s specification. We follow the same process for compressors in rooftop units and split air conditioning systems.
- Electrical and pressure testing: windings, start components and refrigerant charge checked before any decision.
- Legal refrigerant recovery: ODP/ODS-certified recovery and recharge, never venting.
- OEM-matched replacement: a compressor sized to the system, including Copeland and equivalent models.
- Clear quote: the cost is confirmed after diagnostics and before the replacement begins.
A compressor usually fails because of another problem, so we also check for the refrigerant leak or airflow fault that caused it to overheat, and we complete any commercial fridge repair the unit needs.
Why We Run Diagnostics Before Replacing a Compressor
Replacing a compressor that has not failed is an expensive mistake. A worn start relay, a failed capacitor or a low charge can mimic a dead compressor, and diagnostics on the first visit keep you from paying for a compressor when a smaller part is the problem.
The same tests show what caused the failure. A blocked condenser coil or a slow refrigerant leak overheats the compressor motor over months, so we correct that fault as part of the job. Otherwise, the new compressor can fail the same way within a year.
We apply the same testing to air conditioning compressors. Our technicians check for leaks and loss of capacity before replacing anything, so the repair is done once.
